Peter,
Thanks for your comment and questions. The best material I know is Scripture themselves. I know the doctrine you hold to and believe is important but must come from Scripture or they are useless. As Baptist we have been known as "rebaptizers", because we did not accept the baptism of infants like many others perform, because we believe that one must be born again, and baptism is the testimony of one who has been born again of the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus. How can an infant even know what they are doing little lone confessing anything.
It also relates to other doctrines, such as "losing one's salvation". That is a works oriented salvation, thus to accept the baptism of that church is to approve of the doctrine of of works; rather than grace. To accept the baptism of catholicism is to approve of their doctrines.
You could probably find much more online.
Thanks again.

Greetings in the name of Jesus Christ,

I'm impressed by your website giving information regarding the identity of a Baptist. I am a Baptist also. Can you help me get lesson materials regaring Christian responsibility to detect and guard against Alien Immersion doctrines? It's prevalent now a days and would like to use such materials to keep each other and concentrate on fulfilling the Great Commission.

Thank you.

I think if we ask what Baptism is, we could easily answer the question about alien baptism. Baptism is the "taking up your cross and following Christ". It is saying I believe, "that Christ died on the Cross, was buried, and rose and again", and "saying I believe he did that to take my sins away." Baptism is an unbroken chain passed down from John the Baptist. Only administered from ordained ministers. By accepting any other baptism but the baptism of an ordained minister from the unbroken chain, from some one who doesn't believe that the work of Christ was finished on the cross, is completely unacceptable.

A true Baptist does believe that his/her beliefs are the most correct belief. If we were uncertain of our beliefs, doctrines, then we had better be something else.
Our basic belief, the one on which we have stood for years is that the Bible is the verbally inspired, inerrant, infallible Word of God.
In your comment I am not real certain of what you were saying. I have not yet developed a habit of studying people's comments to try and figure out what they mean.
